Mel Bartley Fitness has announced fresh growth plans with the appointment of a new personal trainer.
The fitness studio, based at South Rings, Bamber Bridge opened in June of this year but the increased demand for one-to-one personal training sessions has prompted a need to grow the team.
George Davies, who is 23 years old and from Preston, will join Mel Bartley Fitness in October. He previously worked as a fitness coach and personal trainer at Nuffield Health at the Capitol Centre, Walton-Le-Dale. George brings experience in weight loss, powerlifting, marathon running and circuit training to Mel Bartley Fitness.
A current Physiotherapy student at UCLan, George is also a qualified Fitness Level 3 coach and has a degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science.
One of the new recruit’s early career highlights was his 12 month stint playing soccer over in America where he gained an insight into specific training regimes. Now his focus has turned to helping people change their lifestyles in order to be fitter and healthier.
Owner of the fitness studio, Mel Bartley, said: “We are thrilled to have secured George as our new personal trainer. He will bring so much energy to the team and we are really looking forward to seeing how he helps clients reach their fitness and weight-loss targets.
“His appointment will see the session times available double which will be of benefit to our clients who require training times to work around their busy work or family life.”
George added: “I am hugely excited to be joining Mel Bartley Fitness and have watched what has been achieved to date with admiration.
“I’m really looking forward to adding a new dimension and helping more local people gain fantastic results.”
The appointment will also see Mel Bartley launch a series of bootcamp style classes to complement its popular evening yoga sessions.
